Day 107: Vall d'Uixó (Drive)
It was rainy in Cazorla and much of Andalucia and the forecast was indicating that it will remain so until Thursday.
So, I decided it was time to move on. First I had to find out where the sun was and the rain wasn't, which turned out to be north of Valencia.
That is why I now reside in Vall d'Uixó. My research indicated there is official parking for 8 motorhomes here. Accordingly, I was a little concerned that there wouldn't be a space for my van: I would be arriving late in the day, which turned out to be about 8.30 pm. So imagine my surprise when I rounded the corner to see that not only were the 8 official places already taken by motorhomes, so were most of the remaining non-moterhome spaces!
Before leaving Cazorla I met up with Tim and Helen who'd found a local independent olive oil producer for a tasting of olive oil, cured meats, cheese and vermouth. It was both a taste testing adventure and an education, which ended with open wallet surgery! I bought extra special local produced olive oil and cheese (goat and sheep).
