Day 151: Winthrop
Today was a very hard 105 mile ride over Rainy Pass (1,486m, 4,875ft, 1.11bn), and yes it lived up to its name, as we were both drenched by very heavy rain as we rode over it.
Shortly thereafter we rode over Washington Pass (1,669m, 5,477ft, 1,24bn). It was raining here also, and the decent was probably one of the worst I've cycled, as not only was it raining hard, we were decending through the clouds, and it was cold!
As I said it was a tough old day, and we did not arrive in Winthrop until 6.30pm, somewhat tired and bedraggled.
