Day 157: Cascade Locks

Last night was camping primitive style. The evening's shower was a wet wipes affair and, in anticipation of an early start in the morning, bedtime was before cyclist's midnight (8pm).

We arose at 6am and departed at 6.45am with a 15 mile climb up to Elk Pass (4,080ft) and then over Oldman Pass (3,040).

Shortly thereafter we got great views of Mount St Helens.

Our campground for this evening is adjacent to the Thunder Island Microbrewery, which is obviously a very good arrangement and required a visit from us. Indeed, one could argue that all campsites should have a microbrewery adjacent to it!
