Day 161: Bend

So instead of climbing over the McKenzie Pass, as we did on the Trans Am tour from Sisters, the Cascades route maps directed us over Santiam Pass (elevation 1,468m). I can report that the route over the McKenzie Pass is by far the much better route for cyclists.

Mt Washington:

For the first time on the trip I found myself entering a town the I'd previously cycled through, which had the added bonus that it was Sisters and I new where to go: Sisters Coffee for coffee! The Eutosports Bike Shop for a cider; then to the Three Creeks Brewery for beer and food.

Then it was off to Bend for a visit to the Deshutes Brewery. All very good.
