Day 19: Denia (Ciclismo)
The forecast was for rain this afternoon: 3 o'clock onwards. Accordingly, we set off on a shorter route with an option to extend the ride if, and only if, the weather was on our side - And it was!
The base route had one climb of about 1.8 kilometres. Ah, but what a climb! It's average gradient is 9.8%. However, the first 200 metres or so have a fairly shallow gradient, which results in some pretty steep ramps of about 15% or more! Little did I know we'd go on to climb out of Xábia via "the wall" - Yet, more steepness!

We were lucky with the weather: there were only a couple of very minor sprinkles of rain - almost unnoticeable!
- Distance driven: 0
- Distance cycled: 51 kilometres
- Weather: Milder than I'd dressed for! Mostly overcast with some sunshine.
