Day 26: Denia (Cycle)

Today we rode the very popular cycle route up to the Coll de Rates, which included a rather steep "short cut" and some fine views. Here's one:

This was followed by some lumpiness until we reached the climb to Puerto de Sa Creueta; ending in the high point of the day and a photograph of Darrell's bike:

Some roads are clearly meant for cyclists and, as such, it is good to see these signs reminding drivers of this fact!

The descending today was very cold, especially when doing so in the shade. It was good to stop at the Bon Aire, Benigembla, which was fortunately in a sun trap, for a late lunch of Bocadillo de tortilla and a coke, and to warm up. Happy days.

Distance driven: 0
Distance cycled: 95km
Weather: Another chilly start and cold descents. Away from the coast the sun shone but temperatures were not much above 11°C, except if you were lucky enough to be sat in a sun trap sheltered from the wind!
