Day 28: Denia (Cycling)

After yesterday's rest day for me (the Norton Wheelers Posse went for an afternoon cycle) it was good to be back in the saddle for an up and down kind of day, both in terms of terrain and temperature. Even though we managed to miss any rain the roads were wet until mid afternoon.

Also we did come across the aftermath of a car accident that left diesel on the road, which made for some pretty precarious riding for a while, particularly as it was on a rather steep descent!

Eventually, after riding up a steepish! climb known locally as "the wall" we reached a lighthouse where the "Adventure Before Dementia" motorhome was parked-up.

And, here we see Rob pointing to the top of a climb that we summited early in the day:

  • Distance driven: 0
  • Distance cycled: 64km
  • Weather: Overcast, 100% dark cloud cover until mid afternoon when it started to brighten up; ending in a red sky at night!
