Day 98: Cabra (Cycling Again!)
Oh the joy of being out on the bike again and, cycling a mighty fine route with two exceptional climbs.
The first was to Alto Montaña Cerro de Los Murciélagos (The high point of the mountain Hill of Bats):
The climb isn't super long, about 5.5 kilometres, but has a certain degree of steepness to overcome and, is rather scenic:Looking down onto Zuheros and a vast quantity of olive trees:
On the way to the other climb I passed through here:
And over this puerto ... :
... where, in the background, you can see the high point of the day! (Ermite de la Sierra: Elevation 1204 metres)
Where you can view this "tree", which appears to have been genetically modified to bear communication infrastructure fruit:
It is rare to see most of the road infrastructure climbed in a single photograph, about 7 kilometres from the main road, but I think that this climb is such that most of the climb can be seen in this photograph:
And, finally, a wee bit of communication infrastructure ...
