Day 65: San Roque (Drive/Rain)

According to wikipedia, when the Anglo-Dutch forces and their Spanish allies took control of Gibraltar in 1704, during the War of Spanish Succession, former inhabitants of Gibraltar left and established the modern settlement of San Roque.

Just in case you have forgotten what Gibraltar looks like, here is today's photo of said British Overseas Territory:

The plan was to move from Estepona to San Roque and go for a cycle ride. However, on the drive over, it started to rain and rain it did on off throughout the rest of day until late afternoon (about 5pm-ish). [The forecast gave a 30 to 50 percent chance of rain. Unfortunately, in reality, it was 100% rain]. So you win, some you lose!

To be honest, I wasn't too bothered about the rain. Indeed I was pleased to have the opportunity for an afternoon nap! Which was then followed by a stroll around town.

Here's some photos taken whilst out preambulating:

  • Distance driven: 23 miles
  • Distance cycled: 0
  • Weather: Intermittent rain from mid morning to late afternoon.
