Day 113: Leulinghen-Bernes (Drive)
Well it was a chilly night in Maire. In fact it was so unexpectedly cold
So we lost a fair amount of altitude today on a 7 mile, 6%, decent followed by a shallow grade down the Bitterroot Valley.
Towards the summit of the Chief Joseph Pass (2,207m 7,241ft, 1.64bn) these flowers were in bloom:
Apparently, it blooms every 5 years or so. Therefore get here quick, or you'll need to next visit in 2019!
Also, some of us stopped off at The Crossing Big Hole Restaurant in Wisdom. I found that the breakfast was cooked to perfection and the service was excellent. So highly recommended.
