Day 144: Girona (Cycle/Drive)

Tonight I reside at dedicated Motorhome Parking at a rate of €25 per 24 hours, in Girona! I had hoped to park in a free "park4night" location. However, on arrival the location was closed to the public. I then spent some time trying to find a free location. In the end I gave up, concluding that I was wasting my time, wasting diesel and, I should cut my losses, take the hit, and pay the €25. Fortunately, it is close to where all the action is!

Earlier, I made another cycle trip to the coast (Tossa de Mar); cycled along the coast a bit; took this photograph from a Mirador of Tossa de Mar:

Then, it was a climb up to Sant Grau coll; this photograph is of Sant Grau, the place, not Sant Grau the pass, which is approximately 1.25 kilometres further on, where there is no coll sign! So this one of the place will have to do:

The climb is very good. However, there is a sting in the tail, with a section of 14% gradient just beyond Sant Grau (the place), about a kilometre from the pass.

The route was mostly good, except for cycling on GI-581, where the traffic was fairly busy and there were a couple of close pass-bys. The best of the route was returning from Tossa de Mar to Cassà de la Selva.
