Day 113: Leulinghen-Bernes (Drive)
Well it was a chilly night in Maire. In fact it was so unexpectedly cold
Last night what appeared to be the sound of a shotgun firing was in fact Sinclair's bike's front inner tube exploding approximately 4ft from my port ear!
This was Sinclair's 5th puncture in 5 days of cycling.
A most excellent 99.7 mile ride to the campground, plus 0.2 miles to the campsite made for a great day of cycling down the Yakima River Canyon and up the Tieton River Canyon.
By the time we arrived at the Campground Sinclair had repaired yet one more puncture on the way and discovered another whilst we were supping a celebratory beer!
Sinclair shall be visiting a bicycle shop in Portland where new tyres and inner tubes will be purchased.
