Wow, the great cycle rides continued today with 107 Kilometres of sublimeness. Indeed, there was so much sublimeness that towards the end of the ride the sublime was become mundane!

The route consistes of a short loop of approximately 23 kilometres, which is the Gorges du Verdon Route des Cretes. Followed by a second extended loop of approximately 84 kilometres. I would definitely cycle this route again but, I'd probably reverse the direction of the larger loop because then you cycle on the carriageway closest to where most of the views of the gorges can be seen (no need to cross carriageways and much easier to sightsee from the bike).

As for photographs, I took the most I have taken on a ride this year. I shan't bore you with all of them! But here's a few more:

It was a great ride, which lasted much longer than I'd expected. This is because of the greatly increased number of stops so as to enjoy the views and getting caught up in conversations. Quite often, I cycled to a viewpoint only to find that people I'd seen at a previous viewpoint were at this one too.
- Distance driven: 0
- Distance cycled: 107 kilometres
- Weather: Just about overcast all day, which meant that temperatures were much lower than recent days (mid twenties °C), which meant I was happier weather wise!
Oh yes, almost forgot to mention that this is my second night in the Municipal Campsite. Coost: €19 for two nights: quite reasonable me thinks?
