Day 18: Denia (Cycling)

Our group of intrepid cyclists were again afflicted by illness. However, the group as a whole did manage to ride together to Pego for coffee. The group then split with the poorly returning to Denia whilst the rest of us headed off to the Puerto de La Vall d'Ebo and beyond.

I am glad that we cycled this route: it is one of my favourite Denia routes. Just a shame that not all of us could make it. Hopefully, there will be an opportunity to do so next week.

• Distance driven: 0
• Distance cycled: 85 kilometres
• Weather: A chilly start. At 8am the temperature in the van was about 6°C and 3.7°C outside. When the riding started it was still chilly but, was warm enough to remove outer layers on the climb.
