Day 51: Playas de Vera (Cycle/Drive)

I discovered there was a lighthouse I had yet to visit. Today was the day to make that visit. Indeed, I'd unwittingly cycled near to it in the past. So I new the roads and I've have enjoyed cycling them.

On the way I passed through Garrucha:

... as you can see, someone has robbed the "C"! But, it made for a decent enough cycling stand!

The name of the lighthouse is: Faro de la Mesa Roldán. And the road up to it is very steep - I suggest you get your "granny gear" out!

I think I mentioned there were some good roads to cycle on this route, and here's a good example:

All-in-all a most enjoyable ride.

After food, a wash and, coffee and biscuits, I had to take the van for a drive to do fresh, grey and black water works. This is so I don't have to do it tomorrow morning ... last time I had to join a queue ... today I did not. Result!

  • Weather: Sunshine and clouds. T's about 19°C. Some wind, which increased in speed as I neared the end of my ride. Otherwise, pretty good cycling conditions.
