Day 8: el Saler (Ciclismo)
There was much doubt as what I was going to do today. The choices were:
I can report that after a great day out on the bike I had a bad night's sleep. I woke up multiple times and on each occasion it took quite a while to return to the land of nod! At the end of the day I suppose you have to accept the good with the bad! So it goes!
Fortunately my disturbed sleep did not curtail today's cycling adventure, which was a trip out to a castle at Segunto to the north of Valencia. It is very impressive. Of special note is the open air theatre. You can walk the 3.66 kilometres path around the castle. Estimated walking time is 100 minutes. I did attempt to cycle it but, only managed about 500 metres!
More info on the castle's history can be found here
And here's a photo of the theatre (original here

And at some point I was on CR 500 (but in this instance CR has nothing to do with CR7!)
Distance driven: 0
Distance cycled: 83 kilometres
Mosquitoes killed: 2 (by 9pm)

Today's route (the ride was slightly different through the Arts and Sciences park area - hence the reduced ridden distance):
