Day 71: Rincón de la Victoria (Cyclo)

Looking towards Málaga:

Due to a change in the weather forecast, there was a route change today. However, Plan B was a good plan, which had me returning to Puerto del León ...

... via Puerto de la Bolina;

Oh yer, warning, this route has a fairly long section of road at roughly 17% gradient!

It was chilly at the Puerto del León and it looked as though it could rain at any moment. So I quickly donned some layers and proceeded to make an enjoyable descent to Malaga. The road from the puerto to Málaga is wide and flowy, which makes it a recommended "to do" descent.

Obviously, on return to Rincón de la Victoria, I made a pit-stop at the Heladería:

1 scoop of fruta del bosque + 1 scoop of lemon pie!

  • Distance driven: 0 miles
  • Distance cycled: 59 kilometres
  • Weather: Forecast was for some rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning. Although there was no T&L, some rain arrived at about 5pm. Wind: Calm to light airs: T = 12 °C at Leon, about 18°C at the coast.
