Day 73: Damascus

On the road to Damascas today, and what a very scenic road it is, including some steady climbing and in excess of 12 miles of decent.

We are staying at a "trail host" or "warm showers" host. These are places where the owners make their home available the cyclists and hikers for no financial reward.

Valarie, are host for both this evening and tomorrow (a rest day) has kindly allowed us to pitch our tents on her front lawn, shared her shower/bathroom/restroom and kitchen with us. How amazing is that? How many people these days would be so gracious to share their home for two nights to a group of 11 cyclists.
