Day 77: Arahal (Drive)

A reassessment of my plans ended with me moving on towards Seville. Originally I had planned to repeat one of my favourite Spanish cycle rides today, but it was overcast with low level cloud and windy, especially forecast to be so at the Puerto de las Palomas (1185 metres).

I also needed to visit the laundrette and to buy some fruit and veg. In addition, I am keen to start my exploration of the Extremadura Province of Spain and beyond (Galicia, Asturia and Cantabria).

So, as I write this post my laundry is being laundered (currently, about 12 minutes until the wash will be complete).

The current plan, once the drying is done, is to move to an Aire here in Arahal; go for a bike ride from there tomorrow; and then drive to Seville late tomorrow afternoon. I'll visit the city on Monday and expect to be heading north on Tuesday.

Evening at the Aire in Arahal:

• Distance cycled: 0 kilometres
• Weather: Overcast and cool where I was. Sunny and temperatures reaching 19°C where I am! Late afternoon the wind speed picked up.
