Day 95: Cabra (Drive)
Last night I returned to the van at about 11.40pm from the bar. Fortunately
Still moving east, when I'd like to go west! But this is where the sunshine is and, with lots of rain forecast for the next couple of days, you need to make the most of it when you can. I don't know whether I've been lucky with the weather during my previous winter/spring adventures here, but it does seem that there has been significantly more rainy days this year. So it goes. That's weather for you!
Anyway, there was some good cycling had today. I particularly enjoyed the climb and descent of the Cuesta de Gos.

I think cycling in the opposite direction would be the way to go. I wouldn't bother cycling the spur down to the coastal pueblo of Puntas de Calnegre.
Although the restaurant looked busy, the playa isn't so good and, once you've descended Lomo Bas to the turn-off from RM-D20, the road to the coast isn't too interesting: but the Lomo Bas climb is good in both directions.
I must admit it was quite a hard route, which wasn't helped by a strong headwind for the final 30 kilometres or so and the onset of cramping with about 8 kilometres to go.
