Day 113: Leulinghen-Bernes (Drive)
Well it was a chilly night in Maire. In fact it was so unexpectedly cold
Fun, mainly flat cycling in the sun. However, there was a wee climb up to a meteorological radar station with some steep gradients to contend with.
Later, on approaching an iron gate, it do at first sight look as though I'd have to backtrack a good few miles to find an, as yet unknown to me, alternative route. Fortunately, I was able to go around the gate with one hand holding the bike over the waterway, the other holding onto the gate edge! Funny how the other end of this road only had a thin wire cable that was only raised about 15 centimetres above the road surface, which was easily negotiated!
Tomorrow I'm taking the bus into the city to do culture!
