Day 113: Leulinghen-Bernes (Drive)
Well it was a chilly night in Maire. In fact it was so unexpectedly cold
So today was the last day of cycling together for Ewan and I on this tour. Tomorrow he heads north towards Calgary, whilst I head south to Waterton Lakes and then on to Glacier National Park.
Ewan has been a great cycling companion and I've enjoyed his company. So I think it is going to take a while to adjust to riding on my own again.
Meanwhile the climb to Crowsnest Pass turned out to be probably the easiest climb to a pass in Christendom! And, although Sparwood does not hold much for the cyclist in terms of sustenance, the young girl in the tourist information was able to direct us to a stop in Coleman where great cinnamon buns and coffee are to be had and Bellevue has a good ice cream shop: cyclist heaven then, at least for this cyclist anyway!.
