Day 113: Leulinghen-Bernes (Drive)
Well it was a chilly night in Maire. In fact it was so unexpectedly cold

(Tyre blowouts like these are the bane of long distance cyclists across the USA, because often it is not possible to avoid all of the broken wires that get strewn across the hard shoulder. You would think that vehicle owners would have the common courtesy to remove the detritus that remains after a tyre blowout).
So first thing this morning I replaced the broken spoke in my rear wheel. Then, after breakfast it was a cooler, but more humid, cycle to Bismark in to a headwind. Indeed, temperatures were in the low 70s°F/20s°C, which is a pleasant relief from the heat: it was warmer than this at 11pm (central time) last night!
