Day 1: Dieppe to Noyant-Villages

Eventually all good things have to come to and end, and so we approach the end of this Southern Tier cycle tour accross the Southern States of America, having travelled some 3,000 miles. Fortunately for me, I have some 7,000 more to do. So as one adventure ends another begins.
Today's commenced with a 15 mile cycle through a Florida State Park on an old railway line converted to a bike path.
Here we see (partially, as the humidity caused water to condensate on to the camera, which in turn affected the aut focusing) Dan and Shirley (the Cervelos), as the passed by me as I attempted to photograph the bike trail.
Did I mention it is humid? Well it is both humid and hot. Indeed, when you cycle it is not too bad as the self generating breeze helps to reduce the surface temperature. However, as soon as you stop, within seconds, it is as though you've just stepped out of a shower fully clothed. Then you step into an air conditioned diner, cafe or restaurant and shortly thereafter you are shivering with cold. So it goes!
