Day 113: Leulinghen-Bernes (Drive)
Well it was a chilly night in Maire. In fact it was so unexpectedly cold
B.J. doesn't let the truth ruin a good story.
What follows is the truth. If you've read yesterday's post then you'll know that I moved from my previous location because a market was due to take place there and, therefore, it needed to be vacated by 5am. Not wishing to arise at such a ridiculously early hour of the day I chose to move a few miles down the road to a recommended location, adjacent to which there is a dog park!
My first thought was that in the morning, the early risers, with dogs, would visit said dog park and I'd be woken up by the sound of barking dogs!
Actually what happed was I woke up to the sound of a pair roosters cock-a-doodle-dooing each other: one near the other far. Obviously I checked to see what time it was, and it was 04:58! Two minutes before I would have needed to vacate my previous park-up location had I stayed there! If it hadn't happened to me I probably wouldn't have believed it; what a coincidence!
I have no idea why they started so early: sunrise was not until 07:19! Thankfully, I did manage to return to sleep.
Anyway, tonight I am parked-up adjacent to the beach, about four kilometres from Malaga city centre. This is not where I intended to be, but it will do! It is definitely better than the place I checked out prior to moving here!
The day was spent doing vanwork, getting groceries and trying to plan ahead. Some progress was made on the planning but, I still haven't decided on a route to the French border.
