Day 116: Cangas de Onís (Drive)

No cycling today!

Instead a visit to Oviedo for bread, coffee and lpg.

There does seem to be a great many sculptures in Oviedo. Here's a couple of examples:

Also, I saw the aftermath of a roundabout accident:

An upside-down taxi!

There was some light rain during my drive to Cangas de Onís. Where tomorrow's cycle ride starts.

On arrival I went for my second walk of the day. Here's a photograph of the Iglesia de Santa María and Estatua del Rey Pelayo:

And now we get to the nub of the walk:

I remember this heladeria from our Picos de Europa cycle tour, a few years ago! The ice cream is good! One scoop of pistachio and one scoop of black licorice.

Those that "know", will know which climb I shall be climbing tomorrow. It is an iconic climb! And, it will be my second time.
