Day 125: Azay-sur-Cher (Cycle)
An enjoyable ride in the Loire (not the river!). I wasn't sure what I would see on the way, because the route was not of my making. It was provided to me by Michael who, along with Rachel, I'll be meeting up with tomorrow in Saumur.
Even though the route was mostly flat, there was some climbing to be had. Including a short ramp of about 20%. The high point of the day, as reported by my Garmin (navigational aid) was 125 metres. Having said that, neither the Garmin, nor ridewithgps (route planning app), identified any "official climbs".
Michael's route, routed me into the outskirts of Tours, where this BIG church can be found (Cathédrale Saint-Gatien):

And then there was Château d'Amboise in the town of Ambroise! Both of which seem to be vary popular with tourists:

Later, there was a minor off-road section, which took me to this photo opportunity (Chateau de Chenonceau):

Ouch: an exclamation used to express sudden, sharp physical pain or a reaction to an unkind, hurtful comment. Perhaps once one of these utterances escapes it ends up here:

Towards the end of the ride big cumulus clouds were mustering and there were some spits and spots of rain for the final 6.4 kilometres (4 miles) of the ride. However, it didn't officially (according to me) start raining until an hour or so after my return.
